Walk on your hands, that should keep the salt and boot scuffs off your floors. LOL!
I always take my boots off as soon as I get inside so that I dont track that stuff through my place.
I know some people get a plastic bin almost the size of a littler box to put there boots in so they dont drip on the floor when the snow melts off.
If you put up some coat hooks too, each person can have their own spot where their coat and boots and gloves and everything else will be.

I told my 10 year old how to maximize his candy last night: use reason's joke about Dum Dums and Smarties, slanted in a direction suggested by the lawn signs at the house.
He says he got a lot of laughs but isn't sure he got more candy.
